Current Matthews Group Projects.

Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, MA- Complete remodel of the 15,000 sq. ft. dining hall and student center.  This fast track project is being completed over the summer and includes installing 3 new dining concepts.

Westfield State College, Westfield, MA- Construction services provided for the renovation of the dining hall cafe to include a new pub and seating areas. The second project at the campus include installation of a Dunkin Donuts in one of the student halls.

Rebecca's Cafe, Boston, MA- This 2 week fast track project will remodel the first location with the new concept design.  This will be a 7 day a week project to make the schedule.

Completed Projects.

Las Ventas/Estragon, Boston, MA- Pre Construction and Construction service provided for this new 3,500 sq. ft. tapas restaurant and retail project completed in the  spring, 2008

                                                                                                                                                    Newbury College, Brookline, MA- Renovation of Student Center dining area. This project for Connor Architecture is scheduled to start in August, 2007.

Rebecca’s Café, Main Street, Cambridge, MA-  Complete remodel with new design prototype. This project is scheduled to start in March, 2008

Connor Architecture
U Mass Dartmouth, Student Center Renovation, Dartmouth, MA- Renovation of the Student Center Dining Hall. This 4,000 sq ft. project is a complete renovation of the servery. This demanding project requires the main kitchen be kept in operation during construction to service the dining facility.

 

Longwood Events: The Matthews Group provided construction management and contraction services for this client. Projects  to date are:

Belle Mer, Newport, RI   $2M addition to the event facility including landscaping and site work.

Veronique, Brookline, MA- Construction management services provided for the renovation of the offices.

Artistry, Boston, MA- Construction management and construction services provided for the build-out of this 22,000 sq ft event facility.

State Room / B.U. Club, Boston, MA- Construction management services provided for the future expansion of the award-winning facility. 

Marine Biology Lab, Woods Hole, MA- This 2500 sq ft renovation of the service line and dining area was completed on a 4 week schedule. 

 
Soulfire Restaurant, Boston, MA- Construction management and construction services provided for the build-out of this 3,600 sq ft restaurant, which was taken from initial design through to completion in May 2006

 
Southborough Junction, Southborough, MA- Construction services provided for this 10,000 sq ft, 2 story office building, including all site and utility work.

 
Truly Jorgs Bakery, Boston University / Commonwealth Hotel, Boston, MA- Construction management services provided to expedite the permitting and C of O process with the City of Boston for this bakery.

 
Manhattan GMAT Testing Facility, Boston, MA- Construction services for this 2,600 sq ft testing facility built in the existing YWCA building.


 
Eastern Standard, Boston University, Commonwealth Hotel, Boston- Construction management services were provided to expedite the close-out, Health Department review, and C of O process with the City of Boston to meet the opening date of the 200+ seat restaurant, 

Appleseed’s Clothing Store, Mashpee Commons, MA- Construction management services for the first of a nationwide roll-out of women's clothing stores. Services included permitting, design and cost review, site survey and review, and project control. 

 
Appleseed’s Clothing Store, Cranston, RI- The Matthews Group supplied construction management services for the project.

 Appleseed’s Clothing Store, North Andover, MA- Construction and construction management services were provided for the 2nd store in the roll-out. This 3,200 sq ft project in the new Eagle Wood Plaza was completed with an 8-week construction schedule. 

 
B good Restaurant Cambridge, MA- Pre-construction, construction, and construction management services were provided for the 2nd location of this quick service restaurant. Worked with the architect, Harvard University, and City of Cambridge on the MEP design and permitting process for this 1,900 sq ft project.

 
The Wrap Restaurant-Mass Ave., Boston- Remodel of existing unit. This project involved ceiling, lighting, HVAC, and grease duct replacement.

 
The Wrap Restaurant- Cleveland Circle, Brookline, MA- This was an emergency project when the roof drain in the base building clogged. Demolition and replacement of drywall ceilings, lighting, HVAC insulation, grills, sound system, and painting were performed on a fast-track basis to get the store reopened.

 
The Wrap, Pearl Street, Boston- This 1,200 sq ft project added a dining room with 40 seats to the store. Work included installation of a new walk-in cooler, service line changes, demo and new finishes, lighting, HVAC, and replacement equipment.
